The wider community has a significant role to play in the development of children, young people and families.

As you begin your wellbeing classroom journey, we have gathered a host of resources across various categories of interest. These resources are intended to help and encourage you to get involved and begin developing a daily communal conversation of wellbeing in your local sphere of influence.

Kimochis Logo

Kimochis® are a playful way to help children learn how to identify and express feelings.  When children can communicate their feelings effectively, they develop positive social skills that lead to lasting friendships and success in all aspects of life. Kimochis® teach the fourth “R” – reading, writing, arithmetic and RELATIONSHIPS.  This “R” is the foundation for success in all areas of life. Go to the TWC Shop to purchase.

The team has worked with Willsden Primary School to produce a series of videos available for free download and use within schools, families and communities. The videos show families playing with the five early childhood keys to communication from the Kimochis® resources. Thank you to Port Augusta Communities for Children, the Majestic Oasis Apartments and Blue Goanna Digital for helping us to pull it together.

The importance of forgiveness

FORGIVENESS is more than just saying it will be OK. Forgiveness is letting go, and finding a new way forward. People who are taught to forgive are less angry, and more optimistic, compassionate and self-confident. Stress levels are also heavily reduced. (Luskin 2001) - Forgiveness Fact Sheet
